Robi Ghosh dead
Comedian Robi Ghosh died of a massive heart attack in Calcutta today (4
Feb '97). He was 65 years old. Mr Ghosh had acted in more than 200 films,
several teleserials, theaters, jatras and plays. Satyajit Ray chose him
for the character of "Bagha" in his epic film "Gupi Gayan Bagha Bayen"
and subsequently "Hirak Rajar Deshe". He suffered the attack while
shooting for a teleserial in South Calcutta and was taken to the Bangur
hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
