Flesh trade racket in Amritsar by female Cong leader

Punjab police have arrested Vice President of district Congress's
Mahila wing and six other persons on charges of running a flesh trade
racket, police said on Wednesday.

Acting on specific information that Congress's Neelam was allegedly
running the "illegal business" for the last few months, a raid was
conducted at Partap Nagar last night and the accused were arrested,
they said.

Police claimed that during investigations Neelam said she was running
the sex racket from her house by trapping young girls and offering
them "highly lucrative price".

District Congress President of Mahila Wing Gursharan Kaur said "an
emergency meeting of party's district unit has been called tomorrow to
decide Neelam's fate".

Besides Neelam, other accused are Usha Rani, Gurdip Kaur, Jagir Kaur,
Gurwinder Kaur, Rohit Bhatia and Rajinder Singh.
