i just wanted to check if he laughed for the same reason i had felt amused.
turns out his reason was of a critical nature. he said, why do these indian
guys forgo their wonderful religion and use "our" crazy religion on us?
[not surprisingly, this brown man in white robe too was feeling, which i
later found out, the same way while staying in in germany where he was
preching "the word of "god"" in churches as a guest-priest that few wanted
to hear.]
now, this brownman in white funny robe was looking around, holding his lunch
tray, for a place to sit down for a paecful meal. there were many tables
where he could have grabbed a chair. apparently he was uncomfortable to join
a white group. would they join him for lunch if they did not join him at
church? the question he perhaps was thinking. he passed up many such tables.
seeing his unease, i invited to join our table to make him comfortable, much
to the obvious discomfort of my german host. he sat across from me, thanking
me. that he would feel ok with hindus and not with "kistins" was amusing to
me.
we treated him with courtesey. needless to say soon he complained that
germans are rejecting jesus, don't come to church, on and on. now my german
host said to him if he thoght germans were dumb, and did not know what's
good for them. the funny man got the message. later, he excused himslef.
hope he changes his clothes, the g guy mused to me.
[complete bullsh*t]
You are the one who is uncomfortable with whites, especially white
Christians. It is unlikely to the point of impossibility that:
a) You've ever traveled to Europe.
b) You had a German host.
c) That you would *ever* ask an Indian Christian priest to sit with you,
unless of course you intended to stab him.
d) That you'd ever leave home without hanging on to your wife's skirt.
The story looks like an incident of a FOB Indian, that you have altered
with your ever-ready hatred of Christians.
