My son recently married a girl from Belarus, so I would like to learn more
about Belarus culture, family relationships, and their attitude toward
people in the U.S. Can anyone tell me how I might find information on this
subject? Thanks.
Tom
I've enjoyed my trips to Belarus. The people there are human, not
martians, and have all the defects and good points of people anywhere.

In danger of not answering the qestion in the manner you expected, the
answer could be by asking your son. She might have a family and friends
in Belarus, that attaches her to Belarus. Has he reflected on that
their marriage can be a way to share this relationship with her family,
friends and home-country not something that (unintentially) keeps her
away from the other people she needs in her life? Has she thought about
the same thing? What about if they have a child? How will the child get
a relationship with her family, friends, language and homecountry?
Given that it does, is that something the child and her mother will
have in common, or something they will all share as a family? I assume
they will will in the US. Then I can imaginge she must have thought
through very well, what that means. What thoughts have you and your
sone made on this so far?
Best regards,
Jan
