The above song is posted in request of Iftekhar Chowdhury.
I tempted to tranlate it in English. My translation is not a leteral
one. I tried to make the last words rhyme without changing the content.
Any correction, suggestion, opinion, and flame are welcome :) Here it goes:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
My Bangladesh
*************
Listen to Mujib's voice multiply
To become millions as it echoes in the air and sky.
Bangladesh, oh Bengal my!
I'll go back to those wandering paths,
Criscrossing the green grass.
I'll discover my Bengal again,
Which was lost in the oblivion.
Where else would you find such a beauty
Precious gold-mine of art and poetry?
Bangladesh, oh Bengal my!
Golden Bengal of Tagore,
Nazrul's dear land,
Matchless Bengal of Jibonanond,
Endless in charm and glory.
Bangladesh, oh Bengal my!
Why still hesitate to shout victory to Bengal?
You are about to get
Your beloved Bengal back.
The sun will rise again high,
To remove the darkness in the eastern sky.
Bangladesh, oh Bengal my!

I think the singer of this song
is Angshuman Roy.
BTW there was another singer of Swadhin Bangla Beter namesd Swapna Roy.
She was the singer of the famous song 'Ek Shagor o Roter binimoyey'. Is
she from Bangladesh or West Bengal? Is she still singing?

I think the singer of Shono ekti Mijuborer theke is Ajoy Roy. I never
even heard of Angshuman Roy. Yes Swapna Roy is from BD. She was
married to another famous Swadhin Bangla Singer Apel Mahmud (Ekti Phulke
bachabo bole juddha kori) and took the last name of her husband. I think
they are divorced now. I don't know whether or not she's singing now.
