Boomers issue a brutal message to young Aussies struggling to
buy a home - as they reveal how they never went on holidays
and ate mince every night to afford $60k house

Baby boomer says young are too entitled

. . .

Ok, this is a bit of Tough Truth.

Gen Y/Z expects instant satisfaction, no
barriers, no money down - I call them
the "Microwave Oven" generations.

Well TOUGH TITTY - buying a whole house is
EXPENSIVE for most people. You've gotta
SAVE UP. If you blow every cent you make,
and then some, by Saturday night - well ...

Saw, and posted, an article a few days back
about what the BH 90210 teens think the
"average American" earns. The mean figure
was $500,000 - with some estimates up to
nearly a megabuck.

The REAL figure is about $54k in the USA.

Y/Z just have NO IDEA. They expect to live
the $500k life on $54K and wonder why it
doesn't work out. Total mystery to them.

The older gen DOES know how it is. They took
out long-term mortgages, 20+ years, just to
own their cracker-box. Wound up paying over
twice as much due to interest. The actual
fiscal reality has never changed. Y/Z just
never understood that. The TV says they're
supposed to have a Mini-Mansion and Ferrari
on a clerks wages and they're SO CONFUSED ....

If they think todays' reality is a bitch-slapper
then wait until the worldwide recession/depression
settles in.

Rob 'the rich' ? You - like all commies - may
be seriously disappointed. They aren't really
worth as much as they used to be either ....
actually 98% of their "wealth" is just speculative,
what somebody THINKS their stocks and such might
be worth at the moment. If recession/depression/
chaos undermines that then, well, Musk is worth
about a dollar-ninety-five - if he hocks his shoes.

Now housing shortages/prices ARE kind of a real
thing. This situation escalates, and then crashes
suddenly, screwing "investors" and banks. Nobody
EVER learns. Really, they don't. One of those
super-weird "human things".
