Don't remember the figures, as for rankings, a few years ago I saw a study
that said Jews # 1, Japanese #2.

Last time I checked it was around $28,000.

1. White Americans
2. Asian Americans (Including Americans from India)
3. African Americans (Was broken down into three subsets; African Americans,
Africans immigrants, and Caribeean Blacks--Jamaica, Haiti, et al)
i. African Americans
ii. Caribeean Blacks
iii. African Immigrants
4. Native Americans
5. Hispanic Americans (Broken down by race: whites, blacks, mestizo, mulato,
etc....)
White Hispanic's average income was between Asian Americans and African
Americans, but
as a group, Hispanics were dead last. This was a first in the history of
the Union; Native Americans
were not the poorest of the poor.
It would be interesting to see how these numbers changed given the robust
economy these last
few years. I last checked these stats in 1994. the stats were taken from
the 1990 census.
The reason I checked was because I saw my hometown become a ghost town
during the
Reagan Admisnitration. Now the town has flourished once again, so I know
the stats have changed.
