My Mailer & Reader have both been screwin' up of late so I've
had to resort to posting through the mail.

I probably wouldn't have found out that my posts weren't getting through
except that some friends who're in the States asked me about a posting on
another group which hadn't made it to their sites.

For those who are in similar "technical" difficulties, one of the handy
dandy USENET FAQ's explains the procedure (which they caution people to
use only if there's not other access). Just send your post to the
gateway at ucbvax.berkeley.edu. To post a message, convert all of the
periods to dashes for the address for the message. Thus, if you wanted
to send your post to soc.culture.asian.american, you would mail it to
soc-culture-a...@ucbvax.berkeley.edu.

Only use the service if you have to (in the meantime, I'm trying to get
my mailer problems straightened out - - the local Usenet Sysadmin tells
me that I shouldn't be having the trouble I'm having).

I know . . . this doesn't have much to do with soc.culture.asian.american
type issues, but a couple people have asked me about it via e-mail in
regards to this group, so I'm posting my response here (assuming someone
else might be having similar temporary problems - - or other situations
and the like).
