Dear Leonard Marshall,
I think that sometimes Chinese people, especially
American (US) Chinese are insensitive to their own
cultural roots. Whereever in the world you go, people
generally respect their Royalty. What I mean by this
is that the English endow their former monarch with
money and turn to a parlimentary system. The Japanese
like-wise endow their monarch with money and go to a
democratic system. The Chinese on the other hand, flee
from China (as does their monarch with them) and they
allow their Emperor to eat garbage out of a garbage can.
It is more important for a Chinese person to go to
college, get a good American education, and a well paying
job. To ____ with the Emperor is their attitude. Even
if someone attempts to kill this man, no one seems to
care.
