FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Phil Nee available to tour in May

COMEDIAN PHIL NEE

Phil Nee is one of a handful of Asian American stand-up comics in the
country. A New York-born Chinese American, he has made several national
television appearances and performed at clubs, colleges, and special events
throughout the United States and Canada.

In addition to his live performances, Nee has made numerous television
appearances. He has appeared on A & E's "Caroline's Comedy Hour," and on
"Comedy Central" and "Showtime Cable". He has also appeared on "The MTV 1/2
Hour Comedy Hour", "Spotlite Cafe", "Star Search", where Phil made it to the
semi-finals, and an unprecedented three appearances on "It's Showtime at The
Apollo", a variety television show taped at the famed Apollo Theater in
Harlem.

As an actor, Phil's dramatic work has appeared on TV on "NY Undercover",
"Law & Order", "The Cosby Mysteries", and the NBC-TV movie "Seventh Avenue".
Other television appearances include "House of Buggin'", and "The Cosby
Show". This year Phil has appeared in the film "The First Wives Club", and
"Volcano". Phil also appeared in the award winning short film, "Fishing for
Father" by filmaker Perry Lin, and the film, "Blue Haze" by Pauline Hou,
which was shown at the 1995 Asian American International Film Festival in New
York. He also appeared in an award winning nationally aired commercial for
AT&T.

Because he has a strong commitment to the Asian American community, Phil is
often asked to entertain for various Asian groups. He is often performing
for Asian student organizations throughout the country as part of Asian
Heritage month as well as Multi-cultural events, and has become a favorite
among them. This past summer, Phil was invited to perform and speak at the
Diversity and American Humor conference at the University of Va., and at the
Annual Asian Moon Festival in Milwaukee for the second year in a row. Phil
has entertained at the Organization of Chinese Americans' (OCA) national
conference and hosted the gala opening of the Asian American International
Film Festival both on the same evening. He was also a special guest
performer at the National Asian American Telecommunications Association's
(NAATA) 10th anniversary celebration in San Francisco, The Korean American
Student Conference (KASCON) in Philadelphia, and at The Smithsonian
Institution during Asian Heritage Week. He has also conducted comedy
improvisation workshops for high school students during the Youth Forum at
the Asia Society in NYC two years in a row. Last summer, Phil performed at
the United Nations for the 50th Staff Day Anniversary and will perform for
OCA in Washington, D.C. this May during Asian Heritage Month.
