Why do most black men have a problem with performing oral sex on a woman.
It has always been said that black men have always been prudish about this.
Personally, I haven't had this problem. But from older family relatives
I've been told never to ask a black man to go down. I know things are a
lot different these days and there are less inhibitions. However, it seems
that white men are more popular performing oral sex on their women. Why is
that? Black brothers --talk to me!

Whoa...... This will be fun....

Queenie,

Whaz up!?!?!? Why do brothers seem to have more trouble having
oral sex? (On women I take it?) Well let's see... I don't think
that black men are less willing to do it. But I do think that
black men are less likely to talk about it. I can't say for
sure because me and my buddies hang out and talk about anything.
Including that (not to brag, but just to.... ummm.... compare
notes).

As for some guys, maybe they're just nice guys and are grossed
out by the mere thought on dinning out "down under." Or
perhaps many brothers (and probably men in general) are
control freaks and feel that to be in control, that oral
sex needs to be done ON THEM. Not the other way around. From
some of my friends, I found some strange opinions -- mainly
about being in control. Like some don't want to have the women
do "it" to them -- they would rather be the ones who are doing
women. Or something crazy about not having a woman on top.
Crazy crap... Or like this one conversation that a group of us
(both brothers and sisters) about going out with a female
body builder. Some of us (like me) liked the idea of going
out with a sister with a little definition (by that I mean
that she must still look nice and retain her chest -- i.e.
a woman, not a man). Some dudes where completely grossed
out by this.

So the answer to your questions lies in what kind of guy you're
dealing with. I personally have no problems with it. Nor
do any or my friends. But we're probably all perverts anyway.
(I tend to disagree, though. Personally, I think that you
should always do things to make you partner feel good and
do things -- maybe not all of the things -- that she likes.
There has to be a compremise. You can't be selfish. Making love
with the person you care about is an art, not a
"yucky feeling".

Peace.

Good Lord. Black men don't have a problem doing this, they just like
to pretend they do. As to another poster's observations about being
in control, it's *clear* that a man has much more control when he's
going downtown. At least if he knows how to do it right. Stamina
helps as well (but then stamina *always* helps).

...or so I'm told, of course. I wouldn't know a thing about such
things, being the innocent that I am.

Well.

Oh, well, pardon me, I have to go do my daily jaw exercises....

Among whites this seems to be a generational thing, with a fairly
sharp shift in attitudes in people who are now in their 50s. I always
assumed that the critical factor was cheap hot water, plus about a
generation for the culture to take advantage of the new opportunities.

Gee this is an hell of an article to see after comming off a 2 week
vacation, what the hells been goin on while I was away? :^)

Now on to the oral sex question.

Hmmmm let me chew on this on this one for a while.
bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!

I think it's generational actually. I'm 31 years old and I think my generation
was or is the transition. We went from not doing it at all(High school years)
to doing it and denying it(college years) to bragging about it (present).
Haven't you noticed how much attention this subject gets from black comedians
now. It's kind of like black folks are JUST discovering this sexual act. When
it reality it is just that it isn't *taboo* for blacks to discuss oral sex
anymore. We have always know about it.

But as a black man myself I will admit I have never had a problem with
eating at the " Y " . And I have also been fortunate to date women who
were just as *open minded* as I was. Unfortunately some brothers haven't
been this fortunate, It seems that a good many blak women have a problem
with oral sex also. Maybe it's just a black thing.
So much for the sterotype of blacks being wild sexually uninhibited beings.

As long as I've been on this net I've never seen a thread that made me laugh
It's kind of refreshing. My two cents: I think brothers do preform oral
sex but just don't admit it.

QUESTIONS
1. How many times do you go down?
2. How many situations have you been in where the man or your man didn't "go
down?"

3. If a man a man said this about women IN GENERAL would you be offended?
4. What does this say about yourself by making these statements?
5. Have you ever told one of your girlfriends that your boyfriend or
X-boyfriend went down on you?

THINK ABOUT IT.

Umm, Queenie: perhaps this is not the most accurate place to take a poll,
but it certainly seems to me that ALL the black men on scaa have gone to
Florida, therefore the premise of your presenting question is presumptive.

From a biblical perspective, we are governed by a couple of ideas: 1) the
marriage bed is undefiled, and 2) the husband has not power over his body,
but the wife, and vice-versa. An eveangelist once described this: "if your
husband likes collard greens, fix him collard greens."

I think the Parliament quote sums it up correctly.

Since this thread has taken on a light hearted note, let me add

Letitia, I sorry to say that the Bills will not make it to the Superbowl.

Gerald-

Yeah, the Oilers look good, they might go far in the AFC, if the
latest edition of "Buddygate" doesn't derail their bid. Also, don't
forget what happened to Houston in Buffalo LAST year (I was there,
it was truly amazing). Unless we get knocked off (maybe, but I doubt
it), Houston has to come to Rich Stadium, no Dome, no heat, no way...

Go Bills!!
Letitia.

P.S. NO SUPERBOWL JOKES PLEASE, we don't talk about that up here...

This was just what I was talking about. Damn. No need to get hostile.
It was a friendly distraction. If folks WANT to talk about sports, then
we will, on THIS network, cause AAmericans DO know something about the
subject, and I am interested in THEIR opinions...

Both of y'all are wrong!! It will be a Raiders/Lions SUPERBOWL!! Yes... two
of the most undermanned and underdog teams will surprise all comers on their
way to the top. (Insert song exceprt: "Sometimes I dream..." )

Actually, a Raiders/Vikings superbowl would be interesting. Bringing this
subject back to Afro Americans, it would be a superbowl between two black
coaches. Wouldn't *that* be fun to watch?

This sort of brings up another small topic... notice how Al Davis seems to
always get more credit for the Raider's success (when it happens) than Art
Shell? Does the owner of the Vikings get similar media treatment as opposed to
Dennis Green? (All you Vikings fans out there...)

That's it for now.. back to work. Peace..

IMHO, Al Davis gets the credit/blame all the time b/c he is
such a media hound. He's loud and obnoxious and "in control,"
so to speak. Plus I think Shell lost some credibility this
year when it became apparent he was just Al's alter-ego on
the field-- Shell always claimed it was his own personal
decision _not_ to play Marcus Allen, saying he wasn't performing
to par... seeing how well Marcus has done shoots some holes
in Art and bulsters Marcus' contention that it was Al Davis
all along, that Art was just doing Al's bidding...

FWIW, I got the Oilers & Vikings in THE game.

Peace to all,
patrick.

You notice that too.
I know that during the 80's the success that Washington's pro team had,
was credited to the genius of Joe Gibbs, the head coach.

Can't you come up with an appropriate title? The original Black men
and Oral Sex is more interesting. And please write your own posts. Don't
let you brother or whoever do it for ya. Are a man it's quite difficult to

I'm a an african american male,18 years of age, and I have oral sex all the time
I do it to her and she does it to me. What's the big deal it's sex? I don't
see why people just won't admit they do it. I'm from Cleveland and I'm not by

Heck all the other team's coaches have been given noteworthy credit for their
team's success. I guess we'll see what happens if/when the Raiders one day
win it all. (Provided Art Shell is still coaching there).

Yeah... one Sports Illustrated magazine provided a list of the smartest point
guards in the NBA. The list was noticeably all white, but it was mentioned that
Magic Johnson would have been in the list if he was playing. But now thanks to
NBC sports and a chance to hear his commentating, it's not looking too good for
his "intelligence."

At least one thing is positive about all this: Whether athletes or coaches, they
made a lot of $$$. So regardless of how well they were viewed by the media, the
underlying thing would be the money they're making. (Course that's another
subject too. Look at what Emmit Smith went through to get his $$$, while Aikman
generally gets the $$$ he wants.)

Peace out..

He doesn't sound "intelligent" or "literate"? The difference being, in
basketball, he has given GREAT insite into the game. It does not come out
as well as the other commentators, but the substance is there.

I agree Letitia, AAmericans do know something about it. But most black men
are closet cunniligi(sp?). They do it but they don't tell other guys that
they do. It was a decent subject and it seemed to touch a few nerves. But
it always has down thru the years.

This is my first time posting.

Thanks for reading.

Leave Magic alone, he's trying...

Yes, that's it, literate. Just some grammatical adjustments, and
he'll be ok. I like him because he gives the "brothers" prespective
on the game. You know, like from the playground...

Sooooooooo true. Pay equity studies have been done in the workplace
and have shown amazing disparity. Of course this disparity has been
shrinking, so the Black middle class should be happy, for equality is
just a few hundred years away (sarcasm...). It would be interesting
to see to what degree this happens in sports.

Is this what this has descended to? I think it started out reasonably
maturely, with a bit of airing of the issues. It has now become
to look like a "little boys' whispering behind the locker" discussion!

Smile! It increases your face value.

I think there is probably a bit of a thing among men (*maybe* more so
with black men?) to openly talk about the joys of performing oral sex
on their partners.. Can you see men over the lunch table talking openly
about "eating the pearl"? I would have no problem with a seafood diet.

It's sort of like the hidden phenomenon of husband-bashing, ala Colour
Purple (Oprah's husband). Sort of an ego prop to not to be seen to have
been beaten, esp. when yr mates are talking about how they (can) beat
their wives!!. Also, this pearl stuff, looks like "giving pleasure is
maybe not as manly as taking it?". O.K., I know a lot of people talk
of the penetrative stuff as giving joy, but I understand that for women
having their pearl eaten can be about as pleasurable (if not more) than
the penetrative stuff.

Enough said!

Derryck,

FYI, someone wanted to know what kind of strange names there were out
there for cunnigilus(sp?). I saw that the expression "eating the pearl"
was not mentioned, so I just added it in. Admittedly, maybe scaa was
not the proper forum for the post, but what can you do???

Reading these comments are hysterical. I'm a 68 year old woman that is dating a black man. I'm open minded and am getting a roll on the floor laugh at these comments. Entertainment for the day

Normally I don't post stuff, Anyway I'm a black female. Most black guy's do eat pussy.....For some reason they like to keep it a secret!!!! I truly think because they don't want their buddies to know but the funniest thang is they buddies eat pussy too.Black men have this strong image they hold up when it come's to really letting someone know what really goes in the bedroom, floor, bathroom sink ect. They are freaks trust me I KNOW....basically if you have good ass tight, wet hot ,pussy and suck dick really good is a plus.....They will do whatever ,don't let them fool you and I don't lie on the pussy!!! Also by the way I have dated both white men and black.
