There are 620,912 black-owned businesses with 345,193 employees and
annual sales of $32.2
billion. So there are 275,719 more businesses than there are
employees, and .56 employees
per business. Total annual payroll is $4.8 million, or $13.90 per
black employee per year.
Total sales are $51,855 per business, with 35% of those sales in the
mostly tax exempt "service
industries".
There are 5,888,883 women-owned businesses with 6.3 million employees
and annual sales of
$642.5 billion. So there are 1.06 employees per business. Total
annual payroll is $104.8
million, or $16.76 per woman employee per year, and total sales are
$109,101 per business,
