I adopted it about two years ago, making it my sig style. Many others
did it before me, but most folks don't make it part of every post.

The only time I don't do it is when I'm in email, very sad about
something, or terminally pissed off. I have maybe four posts in the
last year without the sig format.

It's practically a Wayne trademark! It even got to the point where
one troll who was here a couple of years ago accused me of "plagiarism"
for doing the same thing (which only showed that the guy had no idea
what the word means). It wouldn't be a post from Wayne without one!

Can somebody point me to a thread that has something to do with AA
culture? I mean, the White posters are all racists, and the Black posts
are all obsessed with various personalities. Looks like egos run
amuck.

If you don't like what is currently under discussion, start a topic. They
will come. In the meantime, ignore the racists. Why concern yourself with
dimwits?

Go to soc.culture.african.american.moderated and you'll find serious
conversation, held in an atmosphere of honest exchange of ideas.

Over here, it's a free-fire zone. Don't expect much.

Yes, but Big Brother, you made it an art form!

I think that I can recall a few who did it on occassion.. and it sort of moved
through this group

Did it start here? In this group? (SCAA) I'ont know. But do know that there
have been a number of people who have posted they didn't think they were
*allowed* to post here without it.

Sheesh.. I sort of got into it myself. Back in Jan of '96 (yepperdoodle, I
looked it up) and began my own 'Columbo-ism'.

It was sort of like we were all in the Christmas Spirit or something, and
coming up with trademarks. That was a good time on this group, even

Heck, even the B*rd had some humorous posts. 'Sunshine Cab Company' HEe hee
