Ever wonder how our ancestors had so few opportunities for
entertainment, but still never seemed to be bored? I think the answer is
OBVIOUS...it's the result of a $ECRET government GERM WARFARE program gone
AMOK! Boredom is a DISEASE, which has leaked into our water supply
and has CONTAMINATED our precious bodily fluids. Most of the American
population has been AFFLICTED with it for a few decades now.
Occasionally you will encounter people you find FAR more boring than
most. They are INFECTED with MUTANT strains of the disease, and have
turned into ENERGY VAMPIRES, sucking away your VITALITY.
UN-altered REPRODUCTION and DISSEMINATION of this
IMPORTANT information is ENCOURAGED.

What's the point value when the trolled guy realizes mid-post that he's
been trolled but he posts anyway? It's almost a definition troll of
targeting a guy hitting "F" without reading the entire post. Not only

No, Moon was the drummer for Pete Townshend's band (Them, which

lost his arm was in Metallica. But it's true that Moon proposed the name
"Metallica" so he did have some connection to the group.

You're completely right, Eric, he did. Unless he accidentally misspelled
PIL, and those are two bands, along with BAD, that we sadly neglected in
our three-letter acronyms thread. I suppose we could include SGT, but
I've never seen them abbreviated like that; it doesn't sound right, anyway.
I never see Babes In Toyland abbreviated, either. What makes some bands
acronymizable, and not others?
Personally, I'm glad NIN reunited after their recent break-up. Now if
only they could come out with a cd package that fits in my cd case.

Hoe Down hosts 20-20 with Babarbra Walters.
And how can a modern composer compose classical music? Classical music
was composed in the 1800's.

Bushwah! He's the guy that wrote that "Advanced C++ Programming" book
with all the funny classes in it.

So how does Generation X come into this? Can I get one? How much do they
cost? Is it hard? Can I try?

Wrong-o silly boy, Hoe Down was a tune he wrote in collaboration with
the famous movie composer, Gustav Mahler in the 1960's.

Easy, he lived for a very long time. He is the only person to have
Billboard hits in both the 19th and 20th centuries. Actually, I don't
know why people keep talking about him in the past tense; he is still
alive and well living in Cleveland. If you don't believe me just look
in the Cleveland phone book!
I hear that Copeland and the famous centenarian comedian Robert Burns
next month are going to host a special one hour presentation on
entertainment over the pass 80 years.

so i was wondering if you knew anythign about it. Also, I saw two other
books on the subject, one called the "Gen X Reader" or somesort, which was
a compilation of all sorts of writings about the subject, and another book
written BY a twentysomething, except I can't remember the author or the
title, except that the word "twentysomething" is in it. ANy ideas?

No, George Burns and Stewart Copeland are not brothers. Why would you
think that?

No. John Bonham's dad, Jason, was the drummer for Zeppelin. John did
make a guest appearance drumming for Zep in the movie "Physical
Graffiti." After Jason died, John became the drummer for Jimmie Page's
band, "The Term."

Yeah! LSE was one of my all-time favorite punk bands! But although
Jon "Rotten" Bonham was a founding member, he didn't play drums,
that was Aaron "Vicious" Copland.

Copeland wrote Oklahoma! and Bonham did the Choreography.
Yea, like anyone can right a state! Get real Next thing you know,
someone will be arguing that Guns don't kill people, people do.
I wasn't awrae that any of the Cars had been convicted of murder.
Details please.
Cars drummer Bun E. Copeland served a manslaughter term before the band
was formed. He's well-known for smoking cigarettes while drumming, a
habit he picked up while in prison.
-Jay
No conviction. There was a plea bargain. Copeland was ordered to serve
5 years in Tulsa.
Ah ha! That explains why he wrote Oklahoma. It's the story of his
imprisonment. Thanks for clearing that up.
And that's where he met Gary Newmen, who he co-wrote "Cars" with,
which inspired him to form the group.
