The story of Ashley Smith is THAT OF INHUMAN, PROLONGED (6.4 YEARS) ABUSE
OF A GOOD-NATURED CHILD by *OUR* EVIL, CROOKED, FASCIST Police state
Gov't that "instinctively" LIES!

Ashley's MOTHER
===============
"After years of waiting, this was her chance at last to speak up for her angel."
The Toronto Sun, Thursday, February 21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST FOR
ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from joy to jail", page 8

"Wearing a photo of her child as a pin on her lapel, it was finally Coralee Smith's
turn to speak of her beloved daughter... ." The Toronto Sun, Thursday, February
21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from joy to
jail", page 8

"... the 65-year old grandmother had made this long-awaited trip from Moncton
to pursue her long quest for answers: Why had her troubled child been bounced
from prison to prison around the country like some serial murderer and then left
to strangle herself inside a prison cell while guards watched ... . The Toronto Sun,
Thursday, February 21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith
went from joy to jail", page 8

A HAPPY Girl
"... the proud mother painted Ashley as a happy homebody who adored quilts, the
colour red, riding her bike and playing with her sister's kids." The Toronto Sun,
Thursday, February 21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley
Smith went from joy to jail", page 8

Always SMILING
" 'You never saw that girl without a smile on her face. Most of her life was smiling
and happy,' insisted (Coralee) Smith. 'At home, Ashley was a mom's girl. It was
always, 'Yes, Mom.' " The Toronto Sun, Thursday, February 21st 2013, "MOM'S
QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from joy to jail", page 8

A GOOD Girl
"Smiling at the memory, she recalled learning how her daughter had been secretly
visiting a homeless man they knew as 'Old Joe' to deliver snacks she'd secreted
away from their Moncton home." The Toronto Sun, Thursday, February 21st 2013,
"MOM'S QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from joy to jail", page 8

BEATEN Up!
"Ashley Smith's mother told a coroner's inquest about the anguish she experienced
hearing her daughter complain about ... her allegations about being beaten up in
prison." The Toronto Sun, Thursday, February 21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST
FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from joy to jail", page 8

" 'She talked about how it was kind of scary in there.' " The Toronto Sun, Thursday,
February 21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from
joy to jail", page 8

"Sometime before Ashley's April 2007 transfer from the forensic centre in Saskatoon,
she complained to her mom that someone there stepped on her head, that she'd been
held down and punched with a closed fist, and someone hit her hand with a flashlight
when she put her hand through a door slot." The Toronto Sun, Thursday, February
21st 2013, "MOM'S QUEST FOR ANSWERS: Ashley Smith went from joy to jail",
page 8

" 'She's up there getting beaten up. I was beside myself.' " Toronto Star, Thursday,
February 21st 2013, "Jail changed Smith, mother says: Coralee Smith testifies Ashley
was scared and complained of violence", page A8

DANGEROUS Criminal?
==================
Report of Ashley Smith's transfer to Grand Valley in 2007 shows her, A KID, being
treated like A VERY DANGEROUS PRISONER. Was this treatment of a teenager
WARRANTED? Really? "Wearing green track pants and a T-shirt, Smith is taken
off the plane with a waist restraint and her hands and ankles cuffed. She is escorted
by six guards dressed in tactical gear. She is transported on a secure truck to a
segregation cell." Toronto Star, Wednesday, February 20th 2013, "ASHLEY
SMITH INQUEST: Troubled teen believed guards would save her", page A3

A "Challenging" Inmate?
==================
"She was sent directly into a segregation cell once she arrived at Nova and remained
there for her entire stay at the facility."

Alfred Legere, warden at the Nova Institution, testifying at the Ashley Smith Inquest:
"We were providing so much attention to Ashley that I didn't know what was happe-
ning with 79 other inmates," Legere testified." Toronto Star, Tuesday, February 26th
2013, "Smith saw hostage-taking: Warden testifies about prison conditions in Nova
Scotia institution", page A2

Is this TRUE or pure BULLSHIT?

What do you think?

I doN'T like THE SMELL OF THIS.

Our VICIOUS, DIRTY FASCIST Police state Gov't STINKS!

BIG TIME!

Yes?

Being CRUEL + MEAN
==================
"Legere said ... guards at Nova were ... instructed to withdraw warmth ... ." Toronto Star,
Tuesday, February 26th 2013, "Smith saw hostage-taking: Warden testifies about prison
conditions in Nova Scotia institution", page A2

8 Hours STRAPPED in Restraining Chair
===============================
"Guards at a Nova Scotia prison used 'extraordinary force' when they strapped Ashley
Smith in a specially designed restraining chair for eight hours in 2007 ... ."

" 'It's an extraordinary deprivation of her liberty. She was in that chair for eight hours
strapped in like that. It's an extraordinary use of force on someone who was essentially
compliant with them," Breese Davies said in an interview outside the inquest. Toronto
Star, Wednesday, February, 27th 2013, "Smith spent 8 hourss in chair: Inquest hears
warden feared she would kill herself if not restrained", page A14

Clearly OVERKILL!
===============
"The video shows six specially trained emergency response guards in black suits and
visors on their helmets entering Smith's cell on Aug. 23, 2007. When they enter, four
other regular guards from the jail are already waiting in her cell wearing hazardous
materials suits. Toronto Star, Wednesday, February, 27th 2013, "Smith spent 8 hours
in chair: Inquest hears warden feared she would kill herself if not restrained", page A14

PINNED, then CUFFED!
==================
"On the video the guards in the suits already have Smith pinned face down on the
floor of her cell, with her head on a pillow. Her hands are cuffed behind her back
and her legs are shackled."

"The emergency response guards then take Ashley and strap her into the chair."

HOME: where A KID belongs
======================
Ashley Smith's mother (who adopted her when only a few days old), Coralee, said
to a reporter of P.E.I.'s the Journal Pioneer in 2012, "Ashley's biggest wish was to
get home to her room, get in the Jacuzzi tub and to hold her dog." Toronto Star,
Wednesday, February 20th 2013, "ASHLEY SMITH INQUEST: Troubled teen
believed guards would save her", page A3

BIZARRE Situation
===============
If what the Gov't alleges that Ashley was allowed to choke herself, it's BIZARRE
to say the least. One has to think that THE GOV'T IS LYING. Karen Eves, a cor-
rectional officer from another prison, "found it 'bizarre' to witness guards asking
Smith to take off ligatures she'd made to choke herself. The (idea) that she's
allowed to do it for a certain amount of time? That didn't make much sense to
me." Toronto Star, Tuesday, February 13th 2013, "SMITH INQUEST: Outsider
calls actions of jail staff 'bizarre' ", page A8

How ABSURD is this?
=================
Given that Ashley Smith wore a security gown and kept in a "tiny" (8' by 10')
solitary confinement cell with nothing, but a metal bed, 23 hours a day under
the watch of a video camera, Christie Blatchford writing for Postmedia News
says: "Ashley Smith ... tied up as many as nine times a day ... and (she) ...
routinely kept glass in her privates ... ." National Post, Tuesday, February 12
2013, "Cell guard helpless to stop death: 'Their affection and concern for Ashley
was plain' ", page A6

A GREAT Kid
===========
"Mr. Desrochers called her a 'gentle child' ... . Because she had spent so much
of her adolescence in youth jail - Ashley had little formal education, few social
skills, few visitors and no friends. 'It just seemed that everyone had forgotten
about her', he said." National Post, Friday, February 15th 2013, 'Everyone had
forgotten about her', page A5

NOT Mental
==========
It turns out the Government of Canada has been LYING about Ashley Smith ALL
ALONG saying she was a "mental" case. According to a June 2007 St. Thomas,
ON, psychiatric report "Ashley Smith's problems were 'behavior not mental'."
Toronto Star, Friday, February 15th 2013, "ASHLEY SMITH INQUEST:
Problems 'behavioral no mental' ", page A9

HEARTLESS Prison Staff
====================
When prison staff came to escort Ashley Smith from the Saint Thomas psychiatric
hospital back to the Grand Valley prison for women in 2007, Ashley said: "Oh my
friend, you came back to get me" ... . (Ms.) Lombardo ... told Smith: 'I'm not your
friend, but I'm here to take you back to Grand Valley'." Toronto Star, Friday,
February 15th 2013, "ASHLEY SMITH INQUEST: Problems ' behavioral no
mental' ", page A9

É(eh)PC Policy
===========
NO TEENAGER WILL GO TO JAIL, but could be treated as a psychiatric
patient - if need be.

Currently, 25% of the 55,000 inmate population are teenagers who are NOT
in school: that's A TREMENDOUS LOSS OF PRODUCTIVITY.$200,000.

That will be A TREMENDOUS SAVING to the taxpayer.
