Are you a college financial aid recipient? Then you must know that
some colleges (Financial Aid office) have been known to pilfer (STEAL)
money from students. If you are receiving Federal Pell grants and
loans, and you want to know how much the school receives from the
government and how much of that money the school forwards to you, go
to nslds.ed.gov. Click the "financial aid review", and login using
your FAFSA PIN.
If you are receiving Cal Grant, for instance, go to California Student
Aid Commission web site and open an account. Check regularly to see if
the amount of money that Cal Grant pays the school is the same amount
as what you should get from the school. Last year my school short
changed me over three thousand dollars.
Make sure you keep all records of money you received from the school.
