SOC 611 Web Fundamentals

We are currently unable to offer SOC 611 on Webcampus yet, but we are
working on it. I can suggest two alternatives that you can pursue
this fall semester:
If you can attend a class on-campus (MW at 8am!), I recommend that you
contact Prof Schwartz to take the course by application, and then sit
in on CS 146. Prof Schwartz can talk to you about work that you
should do in addition to the work for CS 146, in order to satisfy the
requirements of SOC 611.
Alternatively, Gene Super is an adjunct teaching a course in e-
commerce on Thursday evenings. The course is CS 519. As program
director, I will allow this course to be substituted for SOC 611, and
eventually we may make this an SOC course. Mr Super requires
knowledge of HTML and XML. I can provide podcasts from a week's
lecture in SOC 542 if people would like some background in XML and XML
schema.
