JOB OPPORTUNITY: Iranian Media Review Contributor - Al-Monitor- You will meticulously review Iranian media on a daily basis to inform yourself of the latest social, political and economic developments, and the commentary and debates these developments generate in the Iranian press.
- You will provide to the Iran Pulse Editor an overview of the most pertinent debates and reactions in the Iranian press to social, cultural, political and economic developments and use your media knowledge to gather and analyze news and commentary to produce daily posts on what is being debated and covered in the Iranian media.
- You will independently work from a distance with the Iran Pulse Editor and the team in Washington DC to prepare and submit pitches on a daily basis, and to upload 500-word articles on the Iranian press three to four times a week.
- You will develop relationships with those around you to make sure that everything gets done on time, and in a manner which is unique in the current media landscape. This includes working closely with the Iran Pulse Editor and the Washington DC office, but also developing relationships and contacts with Iran watchers, Iranian journalists and Iranian media outlets.

The Enigma of Abdol Hossein Sardari, the ‘Iranian Schindler’Date: Wednesday, 02 November

This talk will describe a project to re-evaluate the life and work of Abdol Hossein Sardari, who was the acting Iranian Consul in Paris during the Second World War and who issued documents to many Iranian and non-Iranian Jews to save them from the Holocaust.
Mahdieh Zardiny has been working on a documentary about Sardari’s life and the lives of those he helped save, and as part of this project there has been an application made for him to be recognised in the List of Righteous Among the Nations at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. Zardiny will discuss the project and show some clips from this upcoming documentary.
