Hi Guys,
A couple things...
Mike Gay Remembrance BBQ: Mike passed away in his sleep at home a few days back. When I get more details, I will certainly pass them on. This is gonna be at Maloof, tomorrow, Saturday, starting around 9 and beyond. I don't have specifics, but I believe there will be burgers from ARCC? Maybe BYO? Anyways, go have a good time remembering our friend.
I'll always remember going over to Mike's house - and my Eclipse/AeroParts buddy Miles Fisher across the street... miss you a lot, Miles - Oh, and Gary Lefky! G would join in occasionally too. Miss you too G! - We always had a great time flying planes off the street (back in the days). Back when LEDs were catching on. We'd wait until dusk, then light 'em up and entertain the neighborhood. It would almost always go well into the night having way too much fun. Laughing our butts off. Miles would usually cook us up some stir fry and we'd have a couple of beers. "Enjoyable" doesn't even describe those times! Too many stories around those escapades!
Anyway, here's to Mike Gay. A great friend, pilot, and person. Always smiling, always there to help. Thoughtful. Common sense. The kinda guy you were always glad to see. I can't say enough. Thanks for all the great times, Mike! Blue skies.
Missya, Mikey!!
