Also known as stumbling stones, are brass topped concrete blocks embedded in sidewalks throughout Germany. There are 100,000 of them, as of 2023. They mark the last known, free location of Holocaust victims fleeing the Nazis. Inscribed is the victim’s name, birth date, and fate. I used Google Translate on this stone.
