We had a small turnout for the meeting last night, only 7 people but we did have a lot to discuss.
The most exciting news is that we now have a Vice President. Kirby House has volunteered to fill that position. Thanks Kirbee!!!
A club member was wondering if we could password protect the club member list that is on our website. We discussed this and determined that at this time we can't password protect the club member list. The best we can do is remove a name from the list if you
don't want it public.
Dan Roberts talked a little bit about our collaborative effort with the Aviation Academy. Gregg Goris and Dan Roberts had a meeting with Juan, the physics instructor and Striker, the Academy's flight instructor. We decided to purchase a couple of STEM kits
from FliteTest. The kits include a couple of hand launch gliders and suggested lesson plans and assessments to guide teachers in developing individual plans that align with their goals.
John Ihlein brought a fuselage and wing section from his latest totally from scratch build F3L glider. John is CNC cutting all the parts from plans from the web.
We were glad to see Terry Pierce at the meeting, who walked away with a couple of large C clamps from the give-a-way pile while exclaiming "you can't have too many C clamps". I'm sure he's right. I'll probably have to go borrow them some time.
As the result of there being only 7 people at the meeting we all ate way too much pizza (at least I did).
