Next Soaring Opportunity in Arizona!

There was a meeting last night of the F3L Soaring Group, and I have some bad news - and some good news!

First, the bad news: due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, Ed Lacroix cannot host the F3L contest originally planned for Jan 1/Feb 2.

Now, the good news: he will (instead) host an F3L contest on the weekend of 7-8 March.  Also, the venue has changed: we will be using the new flying field discovered by John Armstrong, which is adjacent to the sod farm near Stanfield, used in the past (but now closed to flying operations).

There is now also an actual club hosting the event: the Phoenix Model Glider Club.

I am disappointed we are not going to Arizona at the end of January, but it works out much better for some of the guys who also wanted to fly in a couple F5J contests about the same time. I plan to go, and sure hope to car-pool with anyone I can.
