---X10 vs X20---

Weight: The X20 is lighter than the X10. 806g vs 950g, but, in my view, still too heavy for DLG. On the plus side, there are two momentary buttons on the back. One would work well to quickly activate/deactivate launch-mode with just a forefinger. Very useful when launching a DLG with just one hand holding the TX. My Taranis X-Lite Pro, which I use for DLG, has similar momentary buttons.

Ergonomics: The rubber side grips on the X20 are softer. This gives me a firmer grip on the TX. There is no external antenna protruding from the top. It results in a cleaner look. The X20 has both an internal and external module. Don't know which one to use, but I've activated the internal one to bind a receiver.

Color Screen: The X20's is physically about the same size as the X10's but has nearly double the resolution. That means four times the number of pixels. Bitmap images for models need to be larger with a squarer aspect ration. This shows more detail in a picture. I haven't tried the screen in broad daylight yet, but I think it will brighter and easier to read.

---Programming Environment---

If you're familiar with OpenTX, you'll be comfortable with Ethos. Everything you're used to with OpenTX is there with Ethos, organized in about the same way. Well, almost. Ethos' GUI is intended to make programming easier and more intuitive. I think it accomplishes that.

As an exercise in learning Ethos, I've begun programming the X20 for the Sprite Hot. I started by registering and binding the Sprite's receiver to the internal module of the X20. The intent is to be able to fly the Sprite with either the X10 or the X20. This methodology allows me to compare OpenTX and Ethos programming every step of the way. It's working great and has greatly sped up the learning process. I should have the programming complete soon, and be flying the Sprite with the X20. Looking forward to it.
