The night displays kicked off a 8pm. We arrived at five. Traffic was chaotic.
A flyover formation of two B29s and a Lancaster herald the beginning of the night festivities.
The Air Force flew demonstrations with the F35, F16, F22, and A10. In that order. The F22 did the Cobra maneuver again. Twice this time. I missed getting a video both times. Ugh. I did get a short clip of the F35 doing a flyby with afterburner lit, though. Later, all four joined in formation for a couple flyovers.
As the sky darkened, it was time for Bob Carlton’s demonstration. Bob is a member of Connie’s soaring club in Moriarty. He travels widely to perform. Here, he’s flying a twin-jet-assisted aerobatic Fox glider with pyrotechnics. I got a video of part of his routine.
