Hint of the Week: Two short hints this week. Yay?
Freewing from Motion makes great aircraft and with everything included in the box, they tend to own the PNP/ARF market these days. I have noticed one thing about their included servo extensions. The female side has two side clamps that securely hold the male when plugged in. Great idea! But, they can be a bit difficult to spread without a third set of fingers. I know you know what I'm talking about.
I now cut one of them off, as the one left intact still keeps the male locked in securely. When it's time to take them apart, it is much easier to unlock only the one clamp from the side instead of fumbling with two while trying to pull the male out.
Here's another tip... I always cut the one on the negative side and leave the signal side. This way, when connecting, I find it super easy to always spot that lone clamp telling me the signal wire side. Just one more aid to keep me straight!
