Moriarty soaring history

Does anyone in the club remember a gentleman back in the 1970s who flew full-size sailplanes out of Moriarty named Dr. Charles E. Lewis, Jr. (possibly Chuck Lewis)? He was a cardiologist or thoracic surgeon at, I believe, Lovelace at the time. He would been about 50 years old back then.

I believe Don Kawal still maintains contact with the Albuquerque Soaring Club.  If he was involved in soaring in the 70s, his name would be on an old roster.

Personally, I do not recall the name from when I was in the ASC, in the early eighties.

Rocky,

I joined Albuquerque Soaring Club in 1974.  I have an almost complete set of Newsletters from 1975 ‘til they quit in 2022.  They included a club roster every few newsletters.  I looked through 1975 through 1979 and did not find a Charles Lewis on any roster.

BTW I gave this collection of newsletters (pdf files) to the ASC Board some years ago and it was available on the website for several years, but not there currently.
