Hello All,
My good friend John Keehart experienced tragedy last night when his trailer was stolen outside of him home in Corrales. All of his beloved airplanes were safely stored in the trailer and are now missing. Please keep an eye out for shady people trying to fence these pricey birds around ABQ and online. If you hear of anything please contact me or John Keehart. His contact info is listed at the bottom of this message. He has opened a case with APD but, no need to hold our breath there… Thanks Guys!!

Stolen out of the driveway with locks and trailer dolly locked to the front.

Subject: Weekend Update
Hi All,
Weekend Update: Haven't heard from Susan yet, but there are NO public events scheduled at BFP this coming weekend that I can see. Get your flying in now as the weekend events will be coming this Spring. Flying during the week is always good as kids are in school and balloons are practicing on the westside or roosted in storage. If you can, get out during the week and enjoy an entirely open park. BFP at its best!
Daily Reminders: Please move yellow barrels (4 at each end) into position to block the Runway. Put out Runway Signs. Do respect the Balloonists if they are up and give them full airspace. Please mind the soccer teams and other park users. Please refrain from flying in the airspace above them. Do not fly South of Key Grab when D2, D3, and/or D4 are in use. Remember that the airspace over the Golf Training Center (Driving Range) is a NO FLY ZONE. Please, clean up your area when your finished. If you are the last person flying, remember to take down the Runway Signs and secure them in their box at the Frequency Board. Don't forget to visibly place your Gate Card on your dash while you are at the Park. Thanks.
Flight Awareness: Stand 25' back from the Runway to allow for a Safety Margin and so all Pilots have a clear visual perspective. All turns from the Runway shall be away from the Pits. The prevailing wind directs the Flight Pattern. (North Wind effects a Left Pattern and South Wind effects a Right Pattern at BFP) Call out Take-Offs, Landings, and any Maneuvers that could affect another Flyer. Use common sense if performing an unusual Flight Plan or Maneuver. Communicate with others if flying large or fast aircraft. The entire DCEF Flight Protocol is sent out each new year and is always available as a download just by e-mailing me.
Duke City Electric Flyers Meeting: The next club meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 12th at the North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center from 7-9pm. Address is 7521 Carmel NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113.
All following meetings will be held at the NDBMC @ 7-9pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month thru December 2015.
Bring your newest aircraft, project, or question for discussion. Remember, DCEF members get an extra discount at Hobby-Proz! Just show your card.
I have included the DCEF Application as a download. Remember, you may also apply down at Hobby-Proz. The apps are underneath the magazines. Just fill it out and leave it and $10 with Ray or one of the guys. They always make sure I get them every time I visit the store.
