Candlelight Vigil In Solidarity with Mine Workers

Candlelight Vigil for Mine Workers
Downtown Federal Courthouse
111 S 10th Street
St. Louis, MO 63102
Monday, April 29
7:30pm

Gary,

The United Mine Workers of America have been in a months long struggle with Patriot Coal and Peabody Coal. Join us for a Candlelight Vigil Monday, April 29 in downtown St. Louis.

Retired Mine Workers are being denied Health Care benefits they were promised by Peabody Coal and Patriot Coal. Come join them in solidarity at a Candlelight Vigil led by faith leaders, urging Peabody Coal to do the right thing and keep their promises to the workers.

The vigil will be led by clergy and faith leaders from diverse traditions, including Bishop George Smith of the Episcopal Church, Rabbi Susan Talve of Central Reform Congregation, The Rev. Traci Blackmon of Christ the King, United Church of Christ and others.

The vigil will be at the downtown Federal Courthouse, 111 S 10th Street, St. Louis, MO 63102, at 7:30pm on April 29. If you can join us, please email St. Louis Organizer Aaron Burnett at Aa...@stl-jwj.org or call 314-644-0466.

In Solidarity,

Aaron Burnett
