The Missouri House of Representatives could consider a “right to work” bill soon.
Yesterday, the House Workforce Development and Workplace Safety
Committee combined three “right to work” bills (House Bills 77, 91 and
95) and passed it out of committee. All of these bills are based on
model legislation from the American Legislative Exchange Council.

- I’m calling to ask you to oppose “right to work” and paycheck deception.
- As my elected leader, I’m asking you to work on things that are
important to Missouri’s middle class like balancing the budget,
improving our schools and creating jobs.
- “Right to work” and paycheck deception bills would not do that.
They are unnecessary and irresponsible and would hurt Missouri’s
middle-class families, our public schools and put our safety at risk.
- Please vote NO on “right to work” and paycheck deception.
"Right to work" and paycheck deception are part of a plan from
out-of-state special interests to eliminate the voice of middle-class
workers. What’s really terrifying about their campaign? CEOs and big
corporations aren’t just after the pay and pensions of workers, they are
trying to eliminate protections for whistle-blowers who protect food
safety, speak out against toxic chemicals in air and water and against
waste, fraud and the abuse of taxpayer dollars.
Missourians have defeated “right to work” before—and we’re going to have
to work together to beat back this attack now. There’s bipartisan
opposition to “right to work” laws, but the special interest groups are
