man! i have no idea what to think. maybe yamasusu has just been going on for so long that this just happened to come out after i've grown out of this easier-going style of story? i definitely prefer heavy and messy drama nowadays, after all. or maybe it's just that my memory of the previous seasons is bad enough that this episode paying off stuff from them didn't work that well for me! it's very possible that's the case, too. but well, either way, i'll probably rewatch seasons 2 and 3 at some point, those were definitely good
ANYWAY, i don't want my downer reaction to this episode deter anyone from watching this show. yamasusu is still a wonderful series, crafted by some of the most talented people in the business! also it's got kaede and kokona-chan in it. what else could you ask for.
Yama no Susume (ヤマノススメ) was a slice-of-life manga that was published in 2011. It received an anime adaptation in 2013. The story focused on a group of girls who went hiking together. It featured a number of yama girls, as well as one mori girl.
