1- We tried to edit our DNS using http://www.granitecanyon.com/ then "Edit
Priimary DNS".
After one week we still see no change in IP address.
We changed our server IP and currently are prevented from doing normal
business activity because of DNS record.
Could someone advise us on this matter?
2- How do we change the "responsible" field in SOA?
i.e. a DNS lookup shows:
constdevent.com.au.SOA primary ns ns1.granitecanyon.com
responsible ser...@compsos.com.au
serial 235237379
refresh 21600 (6 hours)
retry 10800 (3 hours)
expire 1728000 (20 days)
We do not do business with compsos.com.au since 2004 and whish to set-up as
responsible our reprezentative at in...@kcm.com.au.
We do own compsos.com.au as well as bjb.com.au which has same problems.
3- If this is a public DNS service, why were we charged for it by the above
company COMPUTING SOS PTY LTD
ABN 52 067 364 907 ?
Thanks,
Emil.
A number of questions. I've addressed the ones I can answer below them.

GC has not updated zone changes since September 13, 2004. The last
update on the status page notes that they were working on the scripts
that upload zone changes to the DNS server. Since the server is not
updating zones, any changes you made have not gone "live" and have not
propogated to the internet.
Best bet is to find a new DNS Service. www.zoneedit.com is highly
recomended.

The RP field is a text field. When editing your zone file, you can set
it to whatever you'd like. The context is <domain name> in RP
<responsible party information>

The Public DNS is a completely free service offered by Granite Canyon.
If you received charges from the listed company, you'll have to check
with them to find out why you were charged.
