I have never been able to make SO2R work right using Peppermint 3 (Ubuntu precise)  32bit under linux kernel 3.10 ,
so I wanted to try SO2SDR 1.3

My two K3's track freq ok, WK works ok. CW Macros for R1 and R2 seem to work.
Problem is with the second radio dupe function.

1) ALT-D does nothing at all. TR4W under wine ALT-D is ok.
2) Second Dupesheet is grayed, I cannot activate it. Dupesheet switches ok on ALT-R, just cannot access BOTH dupesheets as I know of no way to un-gray Dupesheet 2.

Not really interested in bandmap but a lot of ALSA errors on init since i do not think I have the hardware.
I would note that both bandmap windows are selectable, just not Dupesheet.

I can log ok into the two windows, log entries are ok but I need ability to dupecheck the other radio.
---
Just out of curiousity I put 1.31 up on Win7, but no connection to the two K3's or WK. The ports/speeds are ok but no connection.
Not sure if something other than the .MSI is required. I seem to recall it did indicate a connection to hamlib.

Thanks, Howie N4AF

Hi Howie, thanks for the report.

1) I suspect you are in sprint mode (Config->Contest Options), which is normally enabled for NAS and NS. You can turn it off however. Normally I operate sprint the "trlog way", which does not use alt-D. If sprint mode is turned on, alt-D is disabled...maybe I need a note about that in the contest options dialog.

2) Second dupesheet missing: this is just my laziness, the way I operate sprint I never use a second dupesheet. I can put it in, it should not take much effort.

Re ALSA errors: most likely they are not real errors. I also get a whole bunch here (I have three sound cards). The program probes the different ALSA devices to identify which ones can record stereo and this results in many messages from Portaudio/ALSA. I have not figured out any way to get rid of them.

Windows problems I am less sure about. It seems to work on my Win XP system here but I have not used the program much under windows. I hope there isn't another library that I forgot to include.

Hi Tor -

Yes, I wandered thru the code and saw where it was turned off for
sprint- indeed, that was the problem.

But w/o alt-d for Sprint, the dual dupesheets are, imo, a necessity.

Thanks, Howie N4AF

You don't really need both- DOS trlog only has one dupesheet anyway. With only one open it is always showing the band you are doing S&P on, which is the "active" radio. CQing is always on the inactive radio where you don't need to see a dupesheet. Read the following:

http://lists.contesting.com/archives/html/TRLog/2000-09/msg00006.html

I will try adding the second one however. But the dupesheet behavior will have to switch depending on if one or two dupesheets are open.
