Day of Action for New York: Sunday, November 18th, All Day
The Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) are taking action to support our communities in New York, by bringing people and organizations together on November 18th for a Day of Action for New York. The organization is seeking to mobilize 1,000 people to make a meaningful difference in an area hard hit by Sandy. Volunteers will spend a day volunteering either on Staten Island, the Rockaways, or Long Beach. The Clinton Foundation will provide transportation to and from the service site, presumably departing from meeting points in Manhattan.
We are currently organizing a Barnard College Team to participate in the Day of Action for New York. If you are interested in joining the Barnard College Team, please (1) complete this internal registration form:
http://www.tinyurl.com/broclinton, AND (2) also complete the online registration form available at Clinton Foundation's website and write "Barnard College Team" in the "Organization/Company/School" field:
http://www.clintonfoundation.org/resources/commit-to-a-day-of-action.html.
More details about the project will be available in the coming days. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Please consider giving back to our community by helping with the relief effort!
Regards,
Valerie
