Shin Chan is an American adaptation of the Japanese anime television series Crayon Shin-Chan. It was produced by Funimation with a total of 78 episodes. 6 episodes were aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block starting in August 21, 2006, and the rest of the 20 episodes of season 1 aired in 2007. Season 2 aired on Adult Swim in 2008. A third season was produced and released to the Hulu/FunimationNow services in 2011.

The series used slightly modified Japanese names of most of the major characters (except for Kazama, who is renamed Georgie Prescott, and Nene, who is renamed Penny Milfer). Episode segments were selected from different Japanese episodes, and scripts rewritten and localized. The show focused on more mature themes and dark humor, and was described as more of a "gag dub".[6]

After Adult Swim dropped the broadcasting rights to Shin Chan, this season was made available on Hulu, FunimationNow and on home media. The first four episodes were released on Hulu on May 31, 2011 and every Friday through July 26.[13] The first 13 episodes were released by July 26, 2011.[13] The second 13 episodes were released on September 27, 2011.[14]

Hi, I'm a guy that watched Shinchan for a considerable amount of time on Hungama TV all the time for the majority of my childhood... Getting to the point, I had watched a really rare episode of shinchan, that may have been removed for being too dark for children??? The episode was normal at first, Shinchan and his friends were at school, (I don't remember all of it, but I remember some important parts) suddenly the atmosphere goes dark and they are seen in their school restroom, and the building gets destroyed and the teachers go demonic and scare the children, this happens when there is a thunderstorm outside... (in the episode of course) If you know it, and moreover, if you have a link to it, please do send it to me...

Crayon Shin-chan is an anime series which airs since 1992 on TV Asahi in Japan. It follows the adventures of the five-year-old Shinnosuke "Shin" Nohara and his parents, baby sister, dog, neighbors, and friends. More than 924 episodes have aired.

Episode 93 aired for the first time on April 18, 1994 in Japan. The episode has never been released on home video[1], streaming media or recently reaired. The Spanish dub which translated nearly every episode of the series also skipped this episode. This dub only skipped a total of 6 episodes out of 825, while the other episode that the Spanish dub skipped was released on Japanese home video or are available on the internet from Japanese re-airings this episode hasn't appeared on the internet at all. The Korean dub and Chinese dub also skipped this episode. The official episode list on the TV Asahi website skips episode 93.[2][3] Taking into considering all the information, it is almost certain that this episode was purposely skipped by TV Asahi for an unknown reason. However, from the name of the 3rd segmentブリブリ映画紹介だゾ, we can assume that the 3rd segment was dropped for being a promotional sneak-peek for the 1994 film 'The Hidden Treasure of the Buri Buri Kingdom', which had become an 'outdated information' after the release of the film. The reason why the prior 2 segments were also cut is still unknown.

In 2020, the full episode was found according to users in a Spanish website of Shin Chan fans, for now only the first segment has been made public. As usual with Crayon Shin-chan episodes, the episode consists of three segments:

In Crayon Shinchan, there is an episode in which Shinchan and his sister, Himawari, play a board game. I remember Himawari uses big dice to play by flipping herself. In the end, Shinchan loses, and then he plays again with Shiro, his dog.

On October 21 KST, Big Hit Music confirmed that an episode of 'Crayon Shin-chan' featuring TOMORROW x TOGETHER will air on TV Asahi on October 28. On this episode, the 5 members of TXT will meet Shin-chan and his family and teach them the dance challenge for "Happy Fools" (feat. Coi Leray).

The anime revealed on X this week that Los Angeles Lakers small forward Rui Hachimura will appear in one of its new episodes next month in a cameo, where he will play himself with a series of promotional images of the NBA star in the anime's traditional art style. The episode, titled the "The Adventures of Buri Buri Zaemon: Space Dunk Edition" is set to debut on Nov. 4 and will feature the player in an episode revolving around in-universe superhero Buri Buri Zaemon and Shin-chan himself.

According to the anime's official website, Hachimura's episode will see a massive meteorite headed toward Earth, which Hachimura must stop with the biggest slam dunk of his whole career. Hachimura also confirmed that the episode was his first time ever doing dubbing work for a project of any kind, lending his voice and likeness to the TV Asahi Network that produces and airs the show in Japan.

Rui Hachimura emigrated from Japan to play college basketball in America following his high school graduation before the Washington Wizards scouted and drafted him, whom he played for as a small forward until his upcoming move to the Los Angeles Lakers later this year. Hachimura and his family are reportedly huge fans of the show, with the player citing his appearance in the series as "a dream come true." Hachimura also stated his desire to work with the studio in the future for a second collab, though the company has not confirmed any current plans to do so. More information on the episode and other upcoming programs from the show are available on the anime's official website.
