Camehere with a party of 7 for a later lunch on Saturday. They were able to seat us right away and the service was great. The complementary chips and salsa were very tasty and they were refilled several times for our hungry group. Everyone said great things about what they ordered. 3 of us got different versions of the Chimichangas. I got the Carnitas with red sauce and it was fantastic. I will be back for sure.

We catered a fundraiser with Manuel's mini chimichangas (both beef and chicken) and they were amazing! Super popular snack at our event, and people kept going back for more! Thank you for your support, Manuel's and for the delicious food.

I just can't give enough praise for Manuel's restaurant. I have eaten here countless times over the years and they never fail to impress me. The food is always fresh and delicious and service is quick and efficient. Green corn tamales are my go to meal here as they are absolutely the best I have ever tasted The salsa is to die for and my hubby loves the hot sauce and chimichangas. Margaritas are also excellent. They are open for breakfast on weekends and there is nothing like good Mexican food for a hangover!

Ruiz is the son of Vctor Manuel Ruiz, Sr. (1949-2018) and Jenny Velsquez. Both parents are Puerto Ricans and he has a brother called Hctor Gustavo Ruiz.Although born in New York City, Victor was raised primarily in Isabela, Puerto Rico, where he enjoyed salsa music. His singing career began with salsa superstar Gilberto Santa Rosa's invitation on stage during the graduation party concert at Manuelle's high school. After his classmates' bragged on Victor's skills, Santa Rosa invited him to jump up and sing along. To Santa Rosa's surprise, Victor could not only sing, he free-styled improvising soneo lyrics, trading them with Santa Rosa. Soon after at Santa Rosa's advice, Puerto Rican bandleader Don Perion hired the teenage Victor as a backup singer.[2]

Manuelle emerged as a leading voice among the generation of New York salsa performers who rose to prominence in the mid-'90s, along with Marc Anthony and La India, who were his only rivals in terms of success and popularity. Mentored by Gilberto Santa Rosa and produced by Sergio George,[3] Manuelle regularly topped the tropical charts during his mid-'90s peak, as his albums Victor Manuelle (1996) and A Pesar de Todo (1997) spun off a parade of number one hits. The esteemed sonero continued his hit-making in the years that followed, as every single one of his studio albums in the successive decade spun off at least one tropical chart-topper of its own.[4]

Perhaps his moment of greatest visibility came when he, to the happy surprise of the attendees, sang an a cappella version of Celia Cruz's signature song, La Vida Es Un Carnaval ("Life is a Carnival"), at her funeral at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York in July 2003.[6] This scene was replayed numerous times in the ensuing days on Spanish-language television. Manuelle had performed the song for Cruz, with full orchestra, at a televised tribute concert for her, the last concert at which she ever performed on stage.

Manuelle's most recent production was released in May 2009. However, on this disc, not all of his songs have to do with topics of "LOVE", "INFIDELITY", etc. Nonetheless, it does include various interludes where he explains the meaning of songs related to his personal life, which is why the album is called; "Muy Personal"(Very Personal)

Manuelle's first foray into movie acting was his cameo role (mostly singing) as salsa legend Rubn Blades in El Cantante, the 2007 film biography of Hctor Lavoe, starring Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. In the movie he sang an acoustic version in a club of the famous El Cantante On June 10, 2008, Manuelle released the album Soy ("I am). He was one of several artists selected to perform at the "KQ Live Concert" on September 27, 2008, organized by KQ 105 FM. The event included several renowned artists from Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries.[8]

On February 8, 2010, television network Univision announced international singer Ana Brbara and Vctor Manuelle as the hosts of the 2010 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. The ceremony took place live from Miami, Florida on February 18, 2010.[9]

Start by roasting the blueberries, tomatillos, red onion, and jalapeos in an Air Fryer or oven. Then add the roasted ingredients in a blender and add the chicken broth. Blend all the ingredients to a chunky consistency.

Put the pork into the Instant Pot, then pour the blueberry salsa on top. Stir well then cook for 40 minutes. Remove the pork and shred with two forks on a cutting board. Then place it into a bowl with the salsa mixture.

The salsa dancing events, which have a $10 cover charge for Club Serrano members and a $20 cover for non-members, have largely stayed the same these last few years, with lessons leading to an open dance floor. But one new element the casino is adding for the coming months is a competition that started Aug. 6 and will run through Sept. 24.

Couples who take first place in each of the weekly salsa dancing competitions will come away with $500 free play for slots at the casino. First place couples from each of the weeks will then be able to participate in a contest Saturday, Oct. 12 for a chance to come away with $3,000 cash; $3,000 free play; a trophy; a free booth and free entry to Tukut Lounge on Tuesdays through Dec. 24.

Malcolm said he gears his lessons both to his experienced dancers as well as people who have never salsa danced in their life. He said he has things he can teach people at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

VICTOR MANUELLE IN CONCERT:

Salsa music just wouldn't be the same without the influential sounds of Victor Manuelle -- the Latin crooner has been topping the charts since the early '90s with his salsa romantica tunes, treating fans to one hit after another during his decade-spanning career. Manuelle lays it all on the line during his live performances, singing his classic "Hay Que Poner el Alma" among new tracks like "Me Llamare Tuyo," and showcasing his signature dance moves on stage. Back on the road, Manuelle will have eager fans ready to rumba on his exciting upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Puerto Rico, Victor Manuelle had a passion for singing and performance from an early age, scoring his first breakthrough as a teen when he spontaneously took the stage with salsa icon Gilberto Santa Rosa at a high school graduation party. Captivated by the young performer's stage presence, Santa Rosa introduced Manuelle to a number of musicians in the Puerto Rican community, which led to the budding singer's first gigs alongside Don Perinon and others. After spending several years honing his craft Manuelle made his debut with 1993's Justo a Tiempo, but it wasn't until three years later when his third self-titled album dropped that he started to earn widespread acclaim. Since then the tropical sonero has risen to the top and become a Latin legend -- with 15 studio albums, 22 No. 1 singles on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart, and a number of sold-out shows under his belt, it's no wonder he's considered one of the most influential salsa performers of his time. Renowned for his timeless music and trademark dance moves, Manuelle is a show-stopping act whose hit-filled collection will be on full display during his upcoming tour.
