Hi all,

Just a quick email to announce the release of the Snowplow JavaScript Tracker 0.14.0. Huge thanks to Snowplow "springtern" Fred Blundun for putting together this release and blogging it:

http://snowplowanalytics.com/blog/2014/02/12/snowplow-javascript-tracker-0.14.0-released/

We have some neat new features in this release, and we have also started the key process of cleaning up the Tracker's codebase. Expect more to come in the 1.0.0 release which Fred is working on now!

Keep plowing,

Alex

Hey some cool features there, especially with grabbing the business ID from various places.

I don't quite get the iframe referrer thing. Can you run me through a use case?

Hi Simon,

The iframe referrer thing was a community contribution so not something we have needed directly ourselves. But here's the original ticket:

and an example of similar functionality in Omniture:

Hope this makes sense - let me know if still unclear...

Ahh okay I think I get it. Iframes are sandboxed from the containing page so this is a way to get the containing page url through to it. Cool.
