Dear Opening YangGe families,

As you may already know, our Opening YangGe has been invited to perform its first part of the dance at the International Cultural Fiesta.

Theatre: Rockwell Hall of Buffalo State College

Date: Saturday, April 13.

Time: 4:00 – 5:00p.m. dress rehearsal

Dinner: Sandwiches provided by the Fiesta Organizers

Performance: 6:00p.m. – 8:30p.m. (ours may be towards the beginning numbers)

Rockwell Hall is a professional theatre. The stage is as big as Center for the Arts with lighting facilities. Here is my plan for the performance:

1. While cutting the “Golden Snake” part, 40 seconds of music will be added to complete the dance.

2. All parent parts are kept for the dance due to the big size of the stage.

3. First “Buffstate” rehearsal is scheduled for this Sunday at 4:00 – 5:00p.m.

4. Children’s new parts are not difficult, but need to be learned.

5. Moms dancers will dance with me at 2:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. at Baldy on Sunday. Now new movements, but will go with the new music. Easy.

6. Dads are welcome to join the rehearsal, but not mandatory yet.

7. Rufeng will be out of town on April 13. I will substitute her spot for the “fan flower”.

8. I will ask Kathleen if her family is planning to perform on April 13. If so, we will Kathleen and Mathew, if possible, for our YangGe parent dancers.

9. During the spring break, some families will be out of town. Please let Rufeng or me know how many.
