Good Afternoon, Everyone!

God has been working since my last email!  I am happy to convey that He has provided us with two ladies to take over Juniors—Heather Black will be heading up Juniors Speech and Diana Pope said “yes” to take on Juniors Debate.  We look forward to them stepping into these roles and how God will bless both them and us for their act of service.  Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

We are putting pieces in place for August 29th’s kickoff and I hope you have marked that day on your calendar.  We will plan to meet at 2:00—the meeting should go no more than 2 hours including questions.  We are typically done well before that, but wanted you to know how to plan.  There will be an explanation of who we are and what we do and more, introduction of teachers and coaches, speech and debate demonstrations, and you will have a chance to ask questions and meet many SNOW Club members, both new and returning.

Regarding Team Policy Debate, this is another area where we have a gap of sorts.  We currently do not have anyone to run this portion of club and God has yet to provide anyone, though we are trusting Him for His perfect timing.  Like you did with Juniors, would you be praying with me for how this will come together?   We have the wonderful “backup” in place of Mrs Storz’s club (like having Babe Ruth on the bench!), but as many of you know, it is always better to have in-person meetings if possible.  We are welcome to join her in person, but that will be a considerable drive for many of you.  We can join via Zoom as well, but again, less than ideal as compared to in-person at our location.  We are just as happy to entertain the idea of an experienced student leading with a mom supervising (this has worked extremely well in the past), or a new parent who is willing to learn alongside new students (this has also worked extremely well in the past).  We never know how God will provide and stir someone’s heart.  In fact, it may be someone reading this email right now... :)

I will send one more email with logistical details for August 29th as we get closer and know the weather. If it’s anything like today or raining, we’ll be upstairs in the Youth Room, but if we get a break, we’ll meet in the Pavilion.  Check your email before you come.

God bless you all.  The leaders and I are looking forward to this year’s adventure!

P.S. As always, please forward this to anyone you know who might be interested or whose name you think might be missing.  We have had some trouble with our Google Groups email lists, so it’s possible there are folks not receiving these.  Check with your friends!
