SOS for judges TODAY

Hello Club!

While many of us are looking forward to the coaching day on Monday there are a few of us in the online tournament that started yesterday. There was a very large technical mishap that yielded in dropping an entire speech round and the schedule is completely different today causing a new judge shortage. 

I am writing to you to ask if there is any chance for any of you to sign up and come Judge a round or two today? Since it is a new schedule, our pre-scheduled community judges may not be able to attend and we have added the missed speech round at 9 o’clock tonight. Please see the note below remembering that the times are listed in CST NOT EST so to please add an hour for the correct presentation time. 

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your consideration. Please feel free to use mine or Elysa’s name as the recommended person. Remember as you are not parents of competitors  you need to sign up as a community judge. Which gives you first pick on your choice of ballot! It is a great opportunity to see categories of speeches you have never seen before.

Dear Online Open Participants,

Please accept our apologies for the difficulties that we experienced with ballot selection today. We believe we have mitigated the issues and look forward to a smoother day tomorrow! We have been evaluating our options for adding the missed speech round back into our schedule. Here is our intended schedule for tomorrow:

9:00am  CT Announcements

9:30am  CT Debate Round 4

11:30am CT Speech 2A

2:00pm  CT Debate Round 5

4:00pm  CT Speech 2B

6:30pm  CT Debate Round 6

8:00pm  CT Speech Round 1A

We are so grateful to parents for being ready for ballots throughout the day today! We are also grateful for the encouraging words and prayers. We will especially need your help with the added round tomorrow evening since we have not recruited community judges for that time. Please invite any friends or family who might be willing to serve at that time! 

It is a privilege to be part of a community willing to do hard things and work together to accomplish our mission of training students to communicate truth with integrity and grace.
