Hello SNOW Club!

What a weekend! It was an incredible privilege to see you students in the halls, in rounds, playing games, praying in a huddle, and singing your hearts out. It was also a tremendous honor to sit with, talk to, write ballots with, judge with and fell loved by parents who have certainly earned a badge of honor for being some of the best club parents EVER! My heart is full and happy!

Thank you to Jill Spencer for leading the tournament with love and humility on your home turf. Thank you to Heather Murch for continuing to be the glue that keeps us all together in SNOW Club and for all the great photos!! The slide show was icing on the cake last night. Thank you to all!

We have all earned a rest. There will be no speech club tomorrow.
Apologetics is done meeting for the season but of course keep writing out cards!

Many ask - well what do I do now? After your rest….read your ballots. I pray you have each received at least 3 good ballots (we received many PTL) that you learn the evolution of a speech and I encourage you to polish your speech in the coming weeks both at club and at home. You also still have time to enter the National online open which is after Easter and if you are looking for one last chance to ‘break’ to Regionals, that is it! We are MORE than happy to coach online to prep you for that also.

Whether you are headed to Regionals or not, polishing a speech is a great skill and all of us leaders encourage you to do so based on what you want to fix. All SNOW families are invited to attend Regionals as community judges if your students are not competing and will make the very best community judges! Your kids be part of the fun for another day. Our Quincy location is about 45 min south of where we just were in Salem, so I hope you will consider coming down for the day May 11-13. More on that later.

When we meet again for club April 3, we will talk about the evolution of a speech, work on other skills like impromptu and coach whomever is headed to the online tournament. We will also talk about the possibility of summer camp(s) and what to work on for the rest of the year.

And don't forget our year end party planned for May 15th.

I wanted to make you aware of a fantastic Apologetics opportunity coming up on May 19-21 at Grace Church in Spofford NH, about an hour southwest of where our club meets.  Our Apologetics club has paused for the year, but your preparation doesn't need to stop. 

Alisa Childers is the author of Another Gospel? -  an insightful book that respectfully addresses the main tenets of Progressive Christianity from a solid viewpoint of traditional Christianity.  (My family has been reading through this together, and I found it so helpful that I gave many copies out as Christmas presents :)).  She addresses important issues that our generation of children will surely be encountering - my prayer is that this will equip us all to answer them with grace and truth.
