What I did: Compared, Anthony and Cleopatra, by William Shakespeare,
and the Roman Empire to Cullen Murphy’s 2007 Are We Rome, Chapter 5
the U.S and their Boarders.
Why I chose this topic: I chose this topic because of all of the
recent boarder controversy in the U.S. , And since many people think
that one of the major things that Rome and the U.S have in common is
their lack of boarder control I thought that it would be a good topic
What I learned: I leaned that many people have very different opinions
about the border situation some say that all of the immigrants are
taking our jobs and others say that they are only taking the jobs that
people don’t really want anyway.
What can be done to fix the problem: Since I am one of the people
that don’t think immigration is a major problem I don’t really think
anything needs to be fixed. The only suggestion I can make is that the
government enforce the current immigration Laws and create some more
sever consequences if they are broken.
