Final Presentation
What did you do?
What I did was talk about Cullen Murphy’s chapter 4 “The Outsiders”
and how we can relate it to Shakespeare’s Anthony and Cleopatra. How
Murphy complains of our lack of knowledge and on the other hand
Anthony had plenty of but was caught up with distractions and how the
war in Iraq is a distraction for us if we don’t start prioritizing our
duties. Something Anthony should have done.
Why did you do what you did?
I wrote this essay thinking about all the time wasted and lives taken
by this war that has been going on for a while. We let ourselves get
caught up with problems coming from the outside instead of dealing
with issues within our nation. We are fighting a war for the wrong
reasons.
What did you learn?
Something I learned and shocked me is that in six resent polls it
showed that most Americans favor U.S. air strikes against Iraq which
is an average of 69 %. I believe in stopping the war and if we
continue with this kind of mind set we will continue to have a war.
What else could be done?
What we can do with a budget of one million dollars is begin
organizing ourselves to help bring back the troop safely; so that we
can put a stop to this war.
