- Vist BuyRAR.com and go to the latest downloads section
- When you receive the File Download - Security Warning box, select the "Save" button. (NOTE: You can optionally choose the Run option, but this is not recommended as it poses greater security risk)
- The "Save as Type" drop-down should say "Application"
- Click the "Save" button
- Click on the Windows button, and choose your name under your profile image.
- Double-click on the Downloads folder.
- Double-click on the file you downloaded from the list:

For 32-bit Windows, winrar-x32-623.exe
NOTE: The 32-bit version will work in 64-bit versions of Windows, but 64-bit versions do not work on 32-bit Windows. Check your system for the option that best matches your system. - If the User Account Control box comes up, click on the Allow button
- Click the Install button
- On the WinRAR Setup box, you may make changes to the configuration, but we recommend you leave the defaults for now (you can change them later from inside WinRAR)
- Click the OK button
- Click the Done button
- A window will display with the icons that were added to your Start Menu, which you can close.

WinRAR SFX module and so WinRAR distributive supports /s switch which forces the silent mode. So it is possible to run the following command to silently install WinRAR:
winrar-x32-623.exe /s for the 32bit version
or
winrar-x64-623.exe /s for the 64bit version
Another useful feature is "Import/Export settings" command in "Options" menu. You may configure one WinRAR copy, export settings and then copy settings.reg file which will be created in WinRAR folder to every new folder with the installed WinRAR before running winrar.exe for the first time. If WinRAR was installed to the computer which did not have WinRAR before and if it finds settings.reg in its folder, it will import settings automatically when executed for the first time. Even if this computer already had an older WinRAR version, it is possible to import settings.reg either using Options menu or by running:
regedit /s settings.reg
WinRAR vista Ultimate is among many WinRar tools available for many different operating systems, platforms and computer requirements. The general rule of WinRAR is you only get 30 days or so to try out its many zipping and unzipping tools before you must pay a license fee. Despite not being the most popular software it does have many loyal fans and has always been able to keep my files organized and save space on my hard drive. I just wish I had an automatic backup feature like the one that I have used on my laptop.
There are other people that use the winrar vista ultimate software and have really nothing good to say about it. One user said that the program does everything except save music; however, he did find that the program does save some files when you need them. Another person said that the software lacks options like having the option to password protect your disk if you desire to do this. This would prevent someone from doing a complete wipe out of your hard drive if they got hold of your personal information.
Other people love WinRAR vista ultimate for its ability to convert video to me which makes it perfect for those that like to listen to music and videos on their computer as well. The music and video conversion are perfect for people that make a living restoring old videotapes. These people usually have a library of different videos that they will rip into smaller files and store for the sole purpose of getting money. The converted files can then be transferred to CDs or flash drives that will allow them to make more money.
in windows 7 when someone try to write filename in file name section of notepad windows context menu appears and erases file name.
in the same way in firefox search box when writing something,suddenly in the middle of writing win7 context menu appears and erases search phrase.please tell me what to do.
