Summarize your bug When I tried to create a 128 conquest match against bots in portal mode, I can't select 127 bots when I tried to sleect the PvE experience, the maximum bots that I can select is 60 and when I tried to select the PvP AI mode, the maximum bots in a match is 60.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Select any experience in battlefield portal and try to select 127 bots.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't select more than 60 bots in a large conquest in ps5.
What should be happening instead? I should select 127 bots when I play solo.
@willgomes3456Main problem at his time is that no one can host new games as they are full. So you cant even play your creations from Portal at this time. EA suppose to be working on it, but with the other bugs going around I dont see it for some time. Also you can use smaller then large maps for 128 mine that I played at 2:30 AM the only one I was able too has both large and med maps and 128. Should work with small also.
I try to configure as you told me and even with the current error in the portal, I can play with a few minutes before I kicked out and in my game with the 68 human playes, ai pvp and 30 in each team, the maximum bots are 32 in each team. I select only 128 players maps.
Just to update with my problem. Today I can play in portal mode and I did some tests and I found something. I generate the same experience with 64 players in each team and I invite a friend to play with me using a xbox series s and when we starting the game it's work. In my team had 62 players and in the other team had 64 bots and I did another test. When I try to play alone the same problem in the same experience occurs, only 32 bots in each team and when I play with my friend it works with 64 bots.
Another test that I did to make sure that is a problem with the battlefield. My friend went out in the middle of the game and the 32 bots left together. Only 32 bots stayed in my game.It seems to me that it has a configuration that only allows to play with 32 bots for each player.
first of all, my eternal gratitude for this community & making it possible to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 after the shutdown of the original servers. The trips down memory lane have so far been a pleasant surprise, seeing how well aged BF:BC2 is over more then a decade. So much nostalgic bliss. Thank you!
im not sure because i havnt tried it but i think this is what you are looking for
How to play BFBC2 with offline bots - Mod by Napisal (youtube.com)
You may also have a look at Napisals youtube for more info, these are from his work Napisal Mod Channel - YouTube but sadly he has not continued his work for a long time and many of the links in his videos are no longer available.
hope thats what you were looking for
hi again @B0mbV0yage2.0 ,
yes its quiet the little secret as to how the bot server got their hands on it at all, or quite what it is, most assumed Napisal never finished it. Worth having a look through the chat on the VU discord and more specifically another discord called BattlefieldModding ; where theres a few resources and plenty of people that may be able to help.
Non-player characters, also known as Bots, are a type of artificial intelligence program, with each individual instance of the program representing a player. Bot intelligence varies with difficulty and the installment of the series they appear in. For example, with the Easy difficulty, they seem untrained and are inaccurate shooters. But as difficulty progresses, they become more resilient and are accurate shooters trying to aim for headshots.
They are available offline and within online co-op game modes and can perform basic actions such as commandeering vehicles, manning machine gun emplacements and capturing control points. They will also respond to threats such as flanking gunfire, live grenades, and the occasional Commo Rose command. They are used mainly to fill teams in the singleplayer mode in Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2042. Bots can also be used in these games' Conquest Co-op gametype. Some maps are not available with bots, although third-party mods compatible with the first three games can add or improve the necessary pathfinding code. Beginning with Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, bots are present in the singleplayer campaign, appearing both as squadmates and as enemies. They are also featured in Battlefield: Bad Company 2's Onslaught DLC, appearing as the enemy waves.
In the Special Forces expansion pack, all maps except for The Iron Gator and Leviathan support bots. Starting from this expansion pack and including the Euro Force and Armored Fury booster packs, there are significant differences in the 16-player version of the majority of maps between singleplayer and multiplayer.
Bots can plant RDX Demopaks, preferring captured flags as area denial and vehicles at close range. Bots only cloak to escape when low on health. Cloaked bots will only return to battle when they receive healing. (If you find yourself short on offense, you will undoubtedly find injured recon bots at the map boundary.)
Bots are very accurate with anti-vehicle weapons and emplacements, but do not use these against infantry. Bots do have trouble against air vehicles, as they do not use the SAAW 86 Anti-Air Weapon. Bots do not make use of mines.
An "on-demand" Commander slot is filled whenever a human squad leader requests support. Bots can call down Orbital Strikes, preferring to target players who camp and flags that are being captured. No other assets are used by bots.
Non-player characters make an appearance in the first Bad Company game, being the primary opponent and allied support in the game. However, unlike Refractor-based games, they are not supported on any multiplayer map variations and appear only in the singleplayer aspect of the game.
Like in the first Bad Company game, non-player characters serve as the primary opponents and support for the player character. In the base game, they are only found in the singleplayer campaign.
Bots are a returning feature in Battlefield 2042. As the game features no singleplayer campaign, bots occupy player slots on servers until human players take their place, reflecting how bots appear in some other recent game series. Players may also enter matches solo or in a full squad and face off against bots. Servers within the Battlefield Portal may also use bots as an available option. This makes the game accessible to players in regions where Internet access is subject to high latency, where player count is lacking, or for those who prefer not to play against human opponents. An online connection is still required, suggesting that the bots are server-side entities, rather than the client-side entities of prior games.
Bots can be recognized by their unique appearance based on their faction and class. as well as a fictional rank and name assigned to each one on the scoreboard. Additionally, bots can be identified with their own unqiue Player Card. Unlike the use of bots in past installments, normal multiplayer progression is permitted against bots, including weapon, vehicles, gear, and task progression for Badges and Player Card Images and Tags. They may also be used to obtain Achievements/Trophies. It should be noted, however, that the experience earned against bots is capped to prevent XP farming.
But in 2042, where tornadoes whip up at the slightest provocation, nations have fallen and unpatriated soldiers put their lives on the line to raise and lower little flags, I can catch at least a glimpse of what a brilliant Battlefield player feels like when they play. Because I play against bots.
I've just started this and I'd been in solo, my weapon tier stopped progressing at t3 i think so progress for me would now need to be done online to continue towards the T1 badges. The trophies are quite buggy, I had my travel on foot trophy pop while I was flying a helicopter.
I started playing yesterday and so far played only solo against bots. I tried doing the "dead in their tracks" trophy, the rpg while parashooting and the glidesuit trophy but i could not unlock it even though i met all requirements multiple times. I did unlock "Showoff" and "Deadshot" though. Could be that certain trophies can no longer be unlocked or perhaps they were just temporarily glitched
Ok thanks. I played today and i got the trophies that didn't unlock eralier. The wingsuit trophy unlocked while i was still in the air and the 7 kills with the shield unlocked after my first kill with it. So if trophies dont unlock try closing game or play on a different day
