Hi guys,

I use the optimization package SNOPT in MATLAB. When I use it in Windows operating system, MATLAB does not show the optimization progress in the command window after each iteration while I don't have such problem in Mac operation system. Any help?

Thanks,

It seems this problem is related to the newer versions of MATLAB rather than the operating system. I checked it with MATLAB 2008 in Windows operating system and it printed results in the command window, but still have the problem in MATLAB 2016a.

Hi Ali,

I haven't had a chance to test with r2016a yet.  I'm aware of some of the changes in that version (especially on Mac OS).  I will try to get to it as soon as possible.

Has anyone experienced this problem with 2021a? I only get an output once SNOPT has finished running.

I can confirm that I'm having this problem as well will 2021a.

Checked this out yesterday.  I'm not seeing any delay in the output to the command window or the file output... but I realize now that both comments were about r2021a.  I used r2021b.

I will give r2021a a shot when I have access to my Windows machine again.

I confirm this behavior on Windows R2023a.

The command-window output is plot all together at the end of the computation
