Job Title: Application Engineer – GUTS FE
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Location: Mountain View, CA
Roles & Responsibility:
We are looking for an Application Developer to support an internal application being developed at Client. Our team supports and maintains a request tracking system used extensively with the Client, consisting of a Web application backed by Remedy.
The resource
will be coding to deliver new ticket types and updates to existing ones. They
will be coding on the front end, mid-tier (iServer) and Remedy.
Receives and analyzes client requirements
Interacts with Functional Analyst, QC engineer and other developers to make
sure the solution is well designed, implemented on time, and scalable.
Creates
technical model of the software and evaluates technical requirements
Estimates time for development tasks as well as documentation
Develops software components (backend, user interface)
Prepares and updates documentation related to technical aspects of the
application
Breaks down tasks and reassigns them to development team
Is able to coordinate technical activities in the construction phase related to
software architectural setup
Performs unit testing for all developed components
Skills Requirement -
· Web application development in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, Java servlets, especially DI frameworks like Spring and Guice MVC applications in Python/Django.
· Strong programming ability in one or more of the following languages: Java or Python, with excellent
· Knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript)
· Knowledge of SQL, relational databases and other data storage solutions
· UNIX/Linux environments
· Familiarity in Version control systems, Big Query, and a Unix development environment
· Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively, with fluency in English.
· Bachelors (BS in Computer Science)
