The
rules for this year's Pop Can Challenge allow us to have a base station, to which the robot can return for completion credit.
We might want to think about some kind of homing beacon(s) in the base station to make it trivial for the base to come back and slide easily into the target box (as opposed to doing wall-following to fit into the 2-foot box). LEDs and microswitches embedded in the base station?
As yet, we have no design for a base station.
How a about somebody exploring this aspect? Here's your opportunity to step up. And it would be fun to see alternative solutions from multiple folks!
