Hey gang, the following is from Dan Frechette, regarding Winter MHF.

2024 MHF Winter Festival
MHF Clubs,
As mentioned at the last Homebrew festival, this year we are planning to have a winter event at camp Agawam. In  planning for this event, I would like to do the following: am seeking assistance from the clubs and would like to get  help with the following:
 Give you an idea of what I have in mind for the Winter beer festival.
 Create a targeted planning committee:
 Set the date for the Winter Festival.
High Level Event Overview (Dan’s Cloudy Vision):
The Winter Beer Festival should be viewed as an extension of the Summer Festival. The membership cards present  in the summer are automatically good for the winter festival. Therefore, there is no additional cost to members who  wish to attend, but they will need to wear the membership badge. Unlike the Summer festival this event is planned
to be a one-day event only, all members should plan to have a ride home. That being said, since we will have  access to one of the lodges, presumably the Birch Grove, there will be availability for overnight accommodations.  However, availability is limited, and preference will be given to the clubs which travel a significant distance.
Winter Festival Dates:
First priority, nail down the date for the Winter festival
I have outlined the following major events for the month of February:
 Super Bowl – Feb 11, 2024
 Michigan Brewers Guild Winter Beer festival – Feb 24,2024
Leaving the following dates open:
 Saturday February 3rd.
 Saturday February 17th
 Saturday March 2nd.
Planning committee:
I envision the planning committee being made up of key representatives from participating clubs and the MHF  planning committee. In order to facilitate our discussions, I would like to keep the number of people to a  minimum and invite one person from each club; a second person is welcome as long as they are quiet. These  meeting will be hosted online, as needed. My intention is to keep them to a minimum and would not like to have  more than 3 total.
The purpose for the planning committee is as follows:
 Communicate festival information back to their clubs.
 Provide feedback and discussion on the direction the festival planning should take.
 Generate kickass ideas which can be used as a starting point for future

I feel sorry for people who don't drink.
When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
