Re: ICNM CME during SNMI Conference

Dear all,

ARCCNM was invited by SNM,India to have our active presence among all  nations in ARCCNM.We all EC members agreed unanimously regarding allowing them full one day as their Annual function where Dr Baljinder Singh,Secretary,ICNM and many members of ICNM were there.As its a function primarily of ARCCNM,Korea  and as India had almost equal share ..We all have to realise that ARCCNM is our guest society and  Dr Bom has requested for us to contribute in Radionuclide therapy from India where he is the chairman.We are participants.

In the recent EC meeting held at New Delhi in Sept 2013 , we had again discussion on this aspect and in that meeting we decided that this session will be endorsed by ICNM  after due discussion.

Hope,you all can appreciate the situation looking at the larger picture  and do the needful at your end.

 I can understand your concern . While I also agree with your concern, I fee we  should short out the problem in discussion with the president SNMI and organising secretary of the conference as  SNMI and ICNM are borderless entities and have to work together

Dear Colleagues,

 

 

This is to inform you that the annual conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine –India is scheduled to be held at Mumbai from 12^th-15^th December, 2013.  As we know, the first day of the conference is always dedicated to ICNM to conduct a CME having lectures both on basic and clinical nuclear medicine –recent innovations. I received the program of this year CME and to my surprise – there is only one Session (1.2 hr Session- only clinical lectures) being done under the banner of the Indian College of Nuclear Medicine (ICNM) and the rest entire day is for ARCCNM program on the day-1. For your information a copy of the program is attached.  

 

I would like to further inform you that at no point of time, neither the current President of SNMI nor the Organising secretary of the conference has contacted Dean or Secretary, ICNM before finalising the program. This is totally uncalled-for & unconstitutional and is demeaning to the prestige of the ICNM.  I hold the Current President, SNMI and the organising secretary of the conference responsible for creating this ruckus. And in protest, as a Dean, ICNM I am boycotting both the CME and the conference.

 

I wish them good luck for a successful meeting
