Expand Trigger not working

The expand trigger settings for a snippet is not working as expected.
I am trying to insert a piece of code with the trigger "{{code"

As I understand the mechanism the code snippet should be inserted a
curser position as soon as I type in the text. But nothing happens…

What’s wrong?

You have to press tab key, otherwise you won't be able to type any word that has prefix like any of the trigger strings.
